
Residential Sales in June
The number of homes sold through the MLS® System of the PEIREA totalled 216 units in June 2026. This was a decrease of 8.9% from 2025.
The theme this month seems to be “Average” though as you can see from the chart, 216 sales is well within average expectations for June.
On a year-to-date basis, home sales totalled 917 units over the first six months of the year. This was a decline of 11.1% from the same period in 2025.

New Listings in June
The number of new listings fell 4.6% from June 2025. There were 440 new residential listings in June 2026 however as you can see from the chart to the left nothing too out of the range of average for the last decade.
New listings were 4.8% above the five-year average and 14.1% above the 10-year average for the month.

Active Listings in June
Active residential listings numbered 1,283 units on the market at the end of June, a slight reduction of 0.6% (eight listings) from the end of June 2025.
Active listings were 16.6% above the five-year average and 23.1% above the 10-year average for the month of June.
Active listings are pretty steady for this time of year post-COVID as you can see from the chart!
Finally the average price of a home in PEI last month was $410,105 which is up 5.3% year over year and up about $6,000 from last month. The average price on PEI remains stubbornly high despite the market leaning toward buyers.
